Week 1 is in the books! 🙌

I’ll keep this relatively short, but wanted to share a couple of things I’ve noticed already:

  • I’m amazed by how quickly I’ve adjusted to my daily walk. The first day was a shock to my system. I was huffing, puffing, and trudging along for the entire mile. I’ve already seen a massive improvement in only one week.
  • I had only one night of feeling exhausted (typical as you go into Ketosis and sometimes referred to as “Keto Flu”). I believe this mild version has a lot to do with the supplements I’ve been taking.
  • I have followed my food and exercise routine without issues, but I have yet to have a day where I consume the water I committed to consuming. Not good! Next week, I’m going to focus on that.

My Beautiful and Supportive Daughter

Wrapped up the week with a late afternoon walk at Norm’s Island in Billings. That’s my daughter checking out the snow-covered Yellowstone River. I’m grateful that she’s being so supportive and joining me for walks even though she hates the cold.

Current Stats

Weight Exercise Water
230.0 1.7 miles ~120 oz.

Only an ounce away from the 220’s! 😄

Total weight loss for the week is just over 8 lbs, so I’ll take it. The only weekly goal I have is sending the scale in the opposite direction, and I succeeded.

Still to Come

I’ve been enjoying writing these posts, but I feel some additional content is necessary:

  1. I need some photos to document my progress. I’m not sure if I want some shirtless, fat-bellied pics of myself online for eternity, but I need to come up with something to show my progress. Hopefully I can find a happy (and tasteful) medium.
  2. I need to talk more about the foods I am eating. I got Brook an Instapot for Christmas, and I have yet to use it. She made some delicious keto-friendly meals this past week which has inspired me to learn to make some new things.
  3. I need video. For many, reading is archaic and video is their preferred method of consumption. I might as well get over the camera-shy thing and to some vlog’ing. I’ll commit to publishing at least one video next week.

I’m looking forward to an incredible second week!
