Fixing My Mistake

As predicted, the weather was good, but still too cold for my daughter to be outdoors, so I settled for a solo walk around the neighborhood. Full disclosure: I’m feeling pretty run down, and I think I know why. I started this journey taking supplements, but I didn’t want to take them on my trip to Spokane and have not yet resumed taking them. I’ll fix that tomorrow. Forget About Friday

Physical Therapy Day 1

Today is day one of physical therapy to thaw my frozen shoulder. The Stretch is Over

Today is February 1st and I’m feeling good about some things: I’m 10lbs down I’ve eat a ketogenic diet since 1/1 I’ve missed ONE day of exercising I have updated this blog daily So what’s next? First "Real Workout"

Today was test workout day. I had no idea what my limitations would be, but I wanted to figure that out before February 1st (tomorrow). I decided to split things up. It’s still cold out, but I wanted to do once around the loop (1 mile) before I tried the Fitness+ workout. After my walk, I had only a few minutes before Brook got off work so I thought I’d better do the 10 minute workout instead of the 20…what a joke....

A Cold Winter's Night

One of my mentors (who also happens to be my brother) often reminds his students of Earl Nightingale’s definition of success: Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal or goal. With that definition in mind, today was a success. I did make progress. The scale finally showed that gravity’s grip on me had relaxed a bit, BUT…I ran into an issue. I knew it was cold, so I geared up before my walk: a sweater, work gloves, heavy coat, beanie over the ears…but with a wind chill of -32F, none of it mattered....

Who Won the Weigh In?

Brook. That’s who won. I would tell you how proud I am of her, how good she looks, and how she deserved that victory, but she wouldn’t want me to say any of that stuff, so I’ll just say… YOU GOT LUCKY WATSON!
