I’m getting settled into somewhat of an eating routine, so I thought I’d give you some examples of the things I’m consuming on a regular basis.
I’ve been starting the day with a low-carb protein shake within the first two hours of waking up. After that, a small afternoon snack (e.g. a couple of pieces of celery with some low-carb dip). If I’m hungry before dinner I’ll have a second shake, but that’s usually not the case. For dinner, one of us (usually me) will cook something keto-friendly.

You know what I’m good at? Cooking!

You know what I’m terrible at? Plating and food photography.
I promise tonight’s dinner was much better than it looked in the photo. I made pork chops with a mushroom cream sauce and some mashed cauliflower with a cheese sauce (the latter came frozen in a bag).
For my last treat of the day, I’ll grab an Atkin’s dessert (peanut butter cup, coconut bar, or some such thing).
I’ll dial things in quite a bit more as the journey continues, but this is where I’m starting.

The lovely Brook Lynn joined me for a walk today. Our neighborhood is like scaling the Rockies compared to the terrain at Lake Elmo State Park. Definitely a little burn on the hills, but we pushed through (well, I pushed through. Brook was unphased.)

And, here we are…in the 230’s. I still have hopes of being down a couple of pounds for Results Day (Saturday).
