Today is day one of physical therapy to thaw my frozen shoulder. I’ve never had any sort of PT, so I’m still undecided as to whether or not I need professional guidance, or if this is a problem solved by repeatedly doing some exercises I can see demonstrated on YouTube.

I also kept my promise and did a core workout this morning, plus a 2 mile walk (all before 1 p.m. 😄).

I’m keeping this one short because I believe my physical therapist would appreciate it if I were to take a shower before showing up.

Updates coming later…

Post P.T. update:

My physical therapist was nice and knowledgeable, but she never laid a hand on me, which I thought was odd…or at least, not what I was expecting. I mean, imagine going to a chiropractor and having them just explain what you need to do… “Okay, now lay down like the man in this illustration and then twist your head around backwards until it pops.” I assumed the therapist would be bending and twisting me around to find my limits or some such thing.

I took the exercises she printed out for me and will continue to use them, but I see no reason to go back. If I’m just going to get instructions and need no physical assistance, perhaps my original “Learn it on YouTube” idea is a better play (definitely a cheaper one).

The cover photo was somewhat of an accident. At that moment, I was looking toward some voices I heard, making sure they weren’t watching me take selfies.
